What makes your sourdough, low FODMAP goodies, pastries, cakes, or coffee special?

Our sourdough boasts just three core ingredients: Organic Flour, Filtered Water, and Sea Salt, along with "Bubbles" – our sourdough culture, meticulously fed five times a week with only organic flour and filtered water for over 10 years. While not gluten-free, we proudly offer Australia's only simple 3-ingredient Organic Wheat Flour, Water, Salt Bread that is Low FODMAP Certified by Monash University. Monash research indicates that individuals with IBS or Endometriosis may benefit from a low FODMAP diet. Additionally, we manufacture the world's only Low FODMAP Certified Wheat Pasta – experience the distinct flavour difference from conventional pasta.

How can I order from The Pocket Storehouse, and what are the delivery or pickup options?

You can conveniently order our pasta and T-shirts online for delivery Australia-wide. All our other products are currently available for in-store pickup only. Our Bundaberg shop is open Wednesday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, and Saturday from 7 am to 12 pm. Is it Gluten Free?

No. While we have thousands of customers that are gluten intolerant and sensitive to gluten/chemicals/commercial yeast/additives our Sourdough is NOT gluten free but 7 products are certified low FODMAP so safe for those following a low FODMAP diet that don't also need to be gluten free.

How long do you ferment your Sourdough

All of our Sourdough goes through a 12 hour preferment stage, 18 hour bulk fermentation at room temperature(dough temp controlled with ice), and for our bread is a final proof up as a loaf for 6 hours or Brioche a further 30 hours as rolls/donuts/scrolls or our unique Sourdough Pastries are all a minimum of 72 hours from preferment to a finish baked pastry

What makes The Pocket Storehouse unique, and where can I find a sliced loaf?

We're passionate about organic, quality products. Currently, sliced loaves are only available for purchase in-store.

Can I place and order of book table

We work on a first in first served basis. Come be part of the community and if there is a line then have a chat to your friends or the person next to you as chances are you have more in common than you think. And have a break from your mobile it's okay to switch off for a while and enjoy good food and good people.
